Costabosco takes its name from a note written by Avvocato Ageno, founder of La Stoppa: “Costa Bosco. Different whites. Malvasia.” This is how he identified a vineyard of Malvasia di Candia Aromatica located at the edge between hillside and woodland, where softened light and the presence of trees create a distinctive rhythm of ripening. The grapes from this parcel, vinified separately together with those from similar vineyards, give rise to a wine that embodies this balance between light and shadow.
